International relations are currently undergoing fundamental changes. The urgency of global challenges, which can only be solved jointly, is growing and makes new forms of cooperation necessary.

German development cooperation believes that triangular cooperation (TrC) is a cooperation modality that is suitable in this context. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is willing to expand its cooperation with emerging economies from Asia in order to achieve development goals in beneficiary countries. Many emerging economies are currently establishing new agencies for development cooperation. As a result of practical engagement and mutual learning through TrC, trustful relationships with the aim of achieving the globally shared Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be built.
