GIZ operates throughout Germany and in about 120 countries worldwide. Our registered offices are in Bonn and Eschborn. With 40 years of experience in Sino-German cooperation, GIZ works within the framework of the Comprehensive Sino-German Strategic Partnership for the mutual benefit of both countries. GIZ in China provides technical expertise to underpin numerous bilateral political dialogues between China and Germany.

Jan Philipp Laurinat
Jan Philipp holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in China Studies from Freie Universität Berlin (Germany), with a specialization in China’s environmental and climate policies. Prior to working for the SGEP, he gained professional experience in the German Federal Foreign Office and the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS).

Zhang Yang
Yang has a diverse background of working at the government of China and environmental NGOs across China and America. She focused on initiating policy dialogues and managing projects across the Asia-Pacific Region on biodiversity conservation, forest management and climate change. Yang holds her M.A in Climate and Society from Columbia University.
